Your Pennsylvania Gun Rights ~Handy flyer about carry
EDIT: 4/2008
Flyer has been updated. Less legalese and more facts about CC, OC and now transporting and buying/selling.
Below is the link to download a handy tri-fold flyer for giving to curious citizens.
It's a tri-fold intended for two main purposes.
1) Your own reference.
2) Providing to the general populace, particularly when they ask you carry related Q's.
This is about educating the public, spreading the word, to counter the misconceptions and even outright lies that the uninformed have been spreading for years throughout the commonwealth.
These are not intended to be passed out at the airport like the religious nuts
I keep these in my car and in my man-purse or day-bag.
If the topic of firearms comes up, or someone asks about my open carry, etc. these are a handy way to provide information and links to information.
The content is heavily weighted towards open carry since there is much myth and mis-information regarding OC. Concealed carry is covered as well but because concealed carry is typically understood more in terms of statute it may seem disproportionately discussed in the flyer.
The flyer It is two sided (displays as two pages in the PDF doc) intended to be printed on std 8x10 paper (both sides) and then folded.
The margins are tight so you may need to tweak your print settings to get everything to line up right. If you select "scale to paper" or "shrink to fit" I have found that it shrinks the page too much, causing the graphic box to not be centered on the front fold.
On the two printers I've printed this on I had to adjust the scaling % manually in the advanced properties to get it to print perfectly. All printers are likely to be different in how they manage minimum margins so just a heads up.
Feel free to add suggestions for improvements or changes.Last edited by knight0334; August 10th, 2013 at 07:14 PM.

Re: Your Pennsylvania Gun Rights ~Handy flyer to carry with you.
Don't you think it would be easier to just carry your gun concealed? I mean, It's better than packing your pockets full of flyers , and handing them out to everyone that gasps at your gun.
What's next, Balloons for the kiddies?

.
Already a smart-ass.
You try and do something nice for folks and this is the type of response you get.
Aren't there enough threads for you to spew your not well though out opinion of oc vs. cc without polluting a thread that is simply here as a resource for people that ARE interested in the content?
If your not interested, the polite and gentlemanly response would be to just ignore the flyer you have no use for.
Also, it is a flyer for OC AND CC.Last edited by Pa. Patriot; July 7th, 2007 at 01:26 PM.

I for one appreciate your effort.
My only advice to those new to OC. Please be thoughtful guys and gals. Currently I like the fact that Pa has addressed the topic by not addressing it.FUCK BIDEN

The text reads:
"Feel free to add suggestions for improvements or changes. "
The obvious implication is for improving the document of course.
Editing my text to read out of context is a tactic often used by those whom can't justify their actions. The MMM'ers and Brady Bunch do this frequently
You through yet? Or is this beyond making your (off topic) point known and rather just a personal vendetta at this point?

Suggestion:: The OC and CC in this statement should be changed to "open carry and concealed carry"
Cities of the first class unless you hold a valid LTCF (Applies to
both OC & CC)Μολὼν λάβε

Don't put quotation marks around "Yes, it's legal!". Lately, people have been using quotation marks for emphasis (which you've already done by use of italics,) instead of using them to indicate a quotation, or to use them to indicate that you're referring to a specific word or letter in the context of the sentence, which are really the only times you should use them. (And the last use is sometimes done ironically.)
An example of the first would be:
* Richard Nixon said, "The American people have got to know whether or not their President is a crook. Well, I'm not a crook. I earned every penny I have."
An example of the second would be:
* Johnny does knows his alphabet, although he sometimes forgets the letter "q".
Or
* I just got some "free" stuff from the Devil.
Sorry. Pet peeve of mine.
Also: Commonw. v. Ortiz should be either underlined or italicized. You should also provide the case citation (e.g., 123 Pa. 456 (2001)).
Also: all of the URLs should be underlined, for consistency's sake.Last edited by Johannes_Paulsen; July 7th, 2007 at 04:18 PM.

Don't know if it's me or not, but my Adobe Reader keeps telling me that the file is damaged and cannot be downloaded.
