There may come a time when that is effectively true.

You know how when you book your airline seats, if you want a seat on the emergency exit row they may ask you if you're fit and could handle the door in a crisis?

As crime gets worse, it might make sense for every office to have a couple of reliable gun owners on site. For the same annual salary as any other paper-pusher, they'd get a guy they could trust to pull a .45 and repel (insert "drug gang", terrorist, disgruntled former employee, employee's ex-husband who lost the custody battle, delusional teen just off 435 hours of playing "Grand Theft Auto X" and suffering from Ritalin withdrawal....)

It would be a bit like have 5 bank tellers, a couple of whom had Serbu Shorties lying next to the lollipops and coin wrappers. Would that bank be MORE or LESS likely to be successfully robbed with the clerks and staff rounded up in the back and killed while one of the punks records it for YouTube?

I'd think a smart insurer would offer discounts on health and group life for companies that had defensive policies like this, or at least had policies more effective than "we kinda hope that nobody ever tries anything, and if they do then we have 911 on speed dial."
