HB 784 and HB 785
HB 784 Provides for a mandatory 5 year sentence for the seller in the case of strwman purchases

for the complete bill.
HB 785 appears to be one we can support, it provides a 5 year penalty for those who commit a crime while armed on their 2nd offense. But, I still don't understand why the state doesn't want Federal law enforced.

I don't have a problem with either of these. As far as the state vs. federal question is concerned, sometimes the feds refuse to bring charges, these just make it possible for the state to do so in those cases.

Re: HB 784 and HB 785
The Feds wanted to "send a message to the country" with Gun Control Act of 1968 and claim responsibility for punishing gun using criminals. We and the states should be clubbing them over the head every time they refuse to prosecute a case.
