Wonder if Nutter and the City Counsel regret knowingly passing laws that would be challenged and LOST in court? and other wasteful/ fraudulent activities.

NAW, they're in the right, city residents, laws be danged.

I would think with the premium they make businesses pay to operate in the city that the goverment would be swimming in excess.

This story hints at an idea that honestly has me nervous. It's inevitable that there are going to be cuts at every level of the goverment. What is going to happen as certain programs are cut? I do feel there are many social programs that do function as intented and are a benefit to the community. I also feel that these programs are going to be on the block first to preserve the ones enacted for whatever other reasons.

I think there are going to be a lot of people who are going to end up with less support then before across the board. For some it's going to be just tightening their belts some more and making it work. For others it's going to finally slipping off that last rung.

Needless to say this is the time where perceptions can change for the better. It's more important then ever to clearly and concisely be able to discuss responsible firearm ownership with everyone. Remember that everyone takes in information in different ways. Some people are visual, some tactile, others need relevence in order to pick up information. Try to discern how your audience processes information and tailor your delivery to make it a comfortable discussion.

Most of all, people admire a role model.

Ok enough pep talk. You all know what needs to happen.

I don't mind working inside of Philly. However, I pay about 110/paycheck for city wage tax, and I don't like that.

Don't people realize that if they allow casions in the city, that sort of thing can go away?

Been keeping an eye on all the major cities lately because I knew the economic problems would 'trickle up'

NYC and NY state looking at tripling their budget shortfall this coming year, they are cutting back on everything from property tax rebates (announced yesterday) to canceling the next class of police training

Cleveland (or as us Ohioans called it, the mistake on the lake) may be going right back to where they were in the 70s (if you remember they filed bankruptcy then)

I could go on an on but just about every major city is in deep shit financially right now .. and then again you have the socialist republic of Kalifornia that is totally broke (can you see how broken up I am about that)
