What is the best width belt for a holster with 1 3/4 slots?

I feel like this is a question for Are You Smarter Than 5Th Grader but I'll ask anyway.
I'm looking at the Don Hume OWB H721 with 1 3/4 inch belt slots...
Probably going to order a belt from the beltman, should the belt be the same size in width of the slots 1 3/4 in. or 1 1/2 in. wide to leave some room? BTW Can anyone comment on the Beltman products?

P.S. my next thread will be on which way do I load ammo facing the front of firearm or rear!

I like the belts from www.thewilderness.com
But they dont look like dress belts, they look a bit more military, nice thick nylon.

In order to maximize stability, the belt width should be the same size as the belt slots. Obtaining a proper grip index during the presentation is critical and if your holster has a tendency to flop around on either the vertical or horizontal axes or some combination thereof, you'll find yourself in need of adjusting your grip after the pistol clears the holster and that is not a good thing.

Magazine in the pouch should have the bullet nose point down range (facing toward the threat). You rotate your forearm about the wrist to properly orient the magazine to the magazine well of the pistol.

A way I use to remember how magazines (rifle or pistol) should be placed in thier holster, is to take the magazine out of the weapon, and place it directly (without changing your grip on the magazine) into the hoster.
