Salisbury defends how it enforces its laws
http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-...,5257974.story
Seems at the very end of the article it says that the Township is thinking of passing its own gun restrictions.
On March 23, the Gordons asked commissioners for tougher shooting laws to better protect residents.
Responding to that request, on June 22 Stiles presented commissioners with drafts of four possible ordinances. One was a ban on any weapon that propels a projectile — including BB guns, slingshots and bows — except for hunting.
In August, when the Gordons filed their suit, Stiles said commissioners were considering one ordinance, but not a total firearms ban
Iam not an expert but seems to me they would be unable to do such a thing under state law.

Re: Salisbury defends how it enforces its laws
it depends on what's in the ordinance they are considering.
they can restrict discharge of guns.
they just can't regulate the "ownership, possession, transfer, or transportation" of guns.
it's hard to know which they are considering from the report (not to mention that media reports involving guns often get the story completely wrong).
apparently, they are, at least, not considering a total ban on firearms (which they could not do) given the last quote from the police chief.
