Default 🤔 Some Delaware River bridges going cashless

💰Drivers will not be able to pay by cash at three low-volume bridges between PA and NJ starting next month.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Starting in June, you will not be able to pay cash for tolls on some bridges across the Delaware River.

According to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, these three low-traffic-volume toll bridges will stop accepting cash for payment of tolls on June 17.

If you have EZ pass it shouldn't be a problem. You will pay the standard toll without any extra charge for a photo bill mailed to you. When they started taking tolls for the Scudder Falls bridge (I95/295) it was always photo only and no toll booth backup. You don't even need to drive thru an EZpass lane. Everyone just drives as usual in all lanes without slowing down.

295 Bridge has been cashless since it was rebuilt a few years ago.

295 is the Scudders Falls bridge. It was always the I-95 bridge for decades till NJ decided to rename it and call it 295 a few years ago.

If you find yourself traveling into the Constitution hating state of NJ you are doing something wrong.

Did it for over 20 years and while NJ sucks the money they give you doesn't. And you don't have to pay any NJ state taxes. Just Pa.

You can tell which way is the better state to live though. Morning traffic is always backed up going into NJ and evening it is backed up getting out. Relatively few going the other way.
