Re: ATF Just Released Their Brace Ruling
Can we use a spade bit to hollow out mare's leg furniture to fit over buffer tubes?

They kind of already are. They're going to hit semi-autos pretty hard if they pass the proposed federal ban on 10+ magazine capacities. The latest bill even prohibits transfer of existing 10+ mags. Pretty soon they'll have us all restricted to single-shot Deringers.

I was thinking more like fitting a brace to a mare's leg to get a 'free' stamp...

I’ll never do anything for a free “stamp”. Especially to exercise a right. I dont need ask their permission.

And i find it funny that all these people going along with it havent realized once the guns are out of their hands and into the governments…well, where do you think those guns you gave up get pointed next? History has shown this time and again.

That '/s' implies sarcasm. I agree the 'free stamp' is a trap.

Two years ago when I was submitting the eform 1 for my first destructive device I asked an acquaintance for advice. He has filed many eform 1s for DDs. He said the ATF was regularly asking him to send them photos of the manufacturer markings so he just started adding them to the form when he submitted it and advised me to do the same to avoid delay. So at that point I started submitting photos of the markings on the receiver with my forms. I have also printed photos and mailed them with paper form 4s for some destructive devices. Plenty of people in the last 2 years have submitted forms without any photos and received approvals, so...that's all I know.
Oh ya, and regarding the passport photo, yes you still have to upload that to the eform. I also attach a printed copy of the photo to my responsible person questionnaire when I sign it and scan it in. They can have my iphone selfie twice.
Thanks! I was not aware that the photo requirement was a previous thing.

Another video about braces. I like this video. The woman*s info>>> is stacked.
Most of the videos I*ve watched mainly talk about how the courts will pick up the issue of braces and don*t really seem to consider why it might not get picked up. This duo of lawyers do a nice job discussing both sides of why the brace issue might be picked up and why it might not.
