Wayne County -- 2A Sanctuary?
Folks in Pike are already working on a project to get that County to declare Pike a Second Amendment Sanctuary County. Anyone here interested in seeing how this works and pursuing it in Wayne?

Other than a "declaration" on paper, what do you expect that to mean, in realistic terms? Will they stop issuing LTCFs and declare they're not needed there?
Whether I'm for or against, I think that passing "declarations" that do nothing is a waste of taxpayer money.
Same goes for the state level garbage that happens every friggin' day.

At least its helping us, and not hurting us.
No need to piss in someone elses cheerios.

Not entirely sure, that is why I am looking into it. I know that the Sanctuaries in CA, NJ and NY for illegals are working just fine. Locals are not cooperating or enforcing laws against illegals and they remain free to continue their illegal status, even if they have committed crimes or are being held under arrest. I know that a lot of upstate NY county sheriffs and DAs are not enforcing the Safe Act. It might be symbolic, but it could be useful. For us in Wayne County, it might be a useful political device to remind our increasingly anti 2A State Senator, Lisa Baker, that she is not following the wishes of those she purports to represent.

"Helping" how? My default expectation is that office-holders keep their oath to the constitution. I should see that from their actions, and not need meaningless "declarations" to sell it.
