Re: ISO a new pocket carry
P365 would best blend of size and capability. If you're looking for smaller, there's the new Ruger LCP Max which you alluded to or the LCP II which is yet smaller but still an improvement over your first gen LCP.
And then of course a J-frame revolver.
Re: ISO a new pocket carry
I carry an LCP but I'm interested in a Kahr CW380 as an alternative. LCPs are tough to shoot accurately.
Re: ISO a new pocket carry
Taurus GX4 is my current favorite. Accurate, reliable and inexpensive.
Re: ISO a new pocket carry
Hi Point. It never runs out of deterrence. When empty, throw it. Second advantage...when pocket carried, it converts any style pants to baggy.
Re: ISO a new pocket carry
Sig P-238 For us the best combination of size/weight/shoot ability. The only downside for us was the cost, pricey little devils.
Re: ISO a new pocket carry
Sig P-938 doesn't really seem to get a lot of love online, but I like mine.
Small, decent quality, concealable, 1911 ish (can carry Condition 1 if desired), easy enough for me to operate with diminished hand strength.
Some are put off by the low ammo capacity, but if I ever actually need to use it I doubt if spray & pray will be appropriate.
Like Phill mentioned, Sigs aren't inexpensive.

My brother pocket carries a P3AT regularly. Pretty cheap, reliable, and doesn't worry about it getting scuffed up/worn/etc.
