Why do you think PA resists allowing semi auto rifles for deer hunting?
Why do you think PA resists allowing the use of semi auto rifles for deer hunting?
Is it an effort to minimize justification of AR ownership?

Re: Why do you think PA resists allowing semi auto rifles for deer hunting?
Because PA is backward and tradition.
Re: Why do you think PA resists allowing semi auto rifles for deer hunting?
.....weapons of war are no good for hunting, duh.
Re: Why do you think PA resists allowing semi auto rifles for deer hunting?
Resistance from older hunters who grew up only knowing one way. I think accuracy and a clean ethical harvest is of absolute importance. What firearm was used is not important at all as long as it meets a caliber range.

In the meantime, no reason not to use an AR with this...

Nice. A pistol in either version makes a great brush gun too.
Re: Why do you think PA resists allowing semi auto rifles for deer hunting?
Exactly fudds. Pa. Has disallowed semi auto for hunting since 1907. The fudds have held sway since then with their discriminatory blue laws and traditional views. Fortunately, they are dropping like flies and soon will be no more.
Every time a drunken old fudd goes to his reward is a good day. One less flannel-clad dickhead to mind someone else*s business.

I know you can't do anything without the original bolt but I don't know if that would matter to them. I've had some that were great and others that were complete pricks so I don't know how that would go. I'm not willing to risk $1k rifle when I can just use my 30-06 pump.
The older generation of hunters are all one shot one kill snipers with their 30-30's so they don't see the need to turn the woods into a "war zone" with semi autos. I'm sure they kill a deer every ten years so they know what they are talking about.
