Straight wall rifle special reg areas
I thought there was a thread about this before but couldn't find it. Supposedly, straight walled cartridge in rifles is legal for special reg areas so in theory I'm good in allegheny county with my marlin 1894 .357..
I sent an email to the game commission but they never answered. Anyone else ask or get clarification?

You could call the number in this news release. He may know where you can find details on where allowed and what you can use. https://www.media.pa.gov/Pages/game-commission-details.aspx?newsid=500
Re: Straight wall rifle special reg areas
I guess you can use a 458 win mag. It's pretty straight walled. Hanna or no?

Re: Straight wall rifle special reg areas
The last HTE class I helped with the deputy game warden said they had just made them legal.

300 BLK with a can in Fox Chapel? Be too easy.
Re: Straight wall rifle special reg areas
444 Marlin is all I*ll say.
Re: Straight wall rifle special reg areas
I hope your not serious, as a 300 BO is not a straight walled cartridge.

Got a response from game commission, good to go in allegheny with straight wall cartridges. Sweet.

It is what the 350 Legend was made for. 35 Remington ballistics in a straight wall cartridge.
