Young employee watched me entire time in store.
Ok; time for a small break from all the election BS occurring.
Yesterday during my lunch time walk.
I stopped in at the local Dunkin Donuts.
The same Dunkin Donuts; I posted about, a while back, in plandemic related thread; at which a really obese employee gave me crap for not wearing a mask and the boss sided with me.
As I walk in the store everything is rather normal. EXCEPT the young; late teen early college, age male employee; who was sweeping the floor of sitting area; eye'd me the entire time I was in the store.
I was in there a little longer than usual due to the woman in line, in front of me, took a very long, indecisive time placing her order.
She took longer to order; than the full amount of time I usually spend in the store. :(
As I waited for this women in front of me. The kid sweeping the floor appeared to actually slow down. Almost as if he wanted to stay there just to watch me.
I'm not being paranoid. He really did look right at me the entire time. So much; that his sweeping actions were almost meaningless. He even bumped into, and almost fell over a few chairs
His behavior had me thinking this was gonna be another situation in which an employee gives me crap for not wearing a mask.
When it eventually came time for me to leave. I had to walk past him.
He says something to me. But due to the diaper on his face and his timid manor of speaking. I could not understand him.
So I walk up to him and ask him to repeat himself.
And to my surprise. He was not watching me for not wearing a mask. He was eyeing my holsters. :)
It turns out he had been considering buying a new holster for his dad, for his birthday. And liked the look of my Blackhawk Serpa Level 3 holster; and my Blackhawk dual magazine holder.
We chatted for a couple mins.
During which I told him how; due to people accidentally shooting themselves in the leg while using a Serpa holster; Blackhawk appears to be phasing out the Serpa holsters and is switching to a thumb release only design.
After explaining options and prices. We bode each other a good day and parted.
Re: Young employee watched me entire time in store.
Rant off (thought it was cv19 related)
Good encounter.
Re: Young employee watched me entire time in store.
Shame. Phasing out a perfectly good holster design because of poorly designed pistols.

What no solicitation then beatdown?
Seriously though, you never know so good situation awareness anyhoo.

That's funny. :)
Ett, you should have asked him if he liked back rubs and mojitos.

Never heard of anyone shooting themselves drawing an M9. Or a 1911. Or a sig. or any revolver.

I have the carbon fiber Serpa for my G19.
I open carried with it somewhat regularly long ago, but never really cared for the Glock, so it became the bedside gun.
I want donuts now.
Re: Young employee watched me entire time in store.
so he was just checking out your "glock"?

LOL ^^
Not the outcome I was expecting as I was reading, pretty cool to hear about that encounter though. It's always refreshing to hear of younger people being into gun ownership, which usually seems to be always anti.
