Change From Non Resident to Resident
Quick question.....I have my non resident conceal carry permit for PA. I recently moved to PA and now I want to change my permit form non resident to resident.
Does anyone know the procedure for this? Do I have to re-apply and pay the fee again?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Re: Change From Non Resident to Resident
Not 100% sure but I believe you will be considered a new applicant. Get you references data and take yourself to the courthouse. You can see/copy the application from the county or sheriff's web site. Take your current non-resident license and photo driver's license. Pretty sure the fee is $20.oo.
Re: Change From Non Resident to Resident
Your current LTCF is good until it expires or is revoked. There is no real difference between "Resident" and "Non Resident" other than the address. No need to change the address. You COULD call the issuing sheriff and inform them of the new address but they're not likely to send a new card.
Just keep the current one until it is time to renew then do so at the county sheriff where you now live.
