Sportsmens Clubs / Ranges near Northern Columbia Co
Relatively new to the area.. I can shoot in the backyard or at friends houses, but I'd love to find a well kept range nearby.
I live near Ricketts Glen and dont mind if I've got to drive as far as Bloomsburg if the facilities are worth it.
If anyone is familiar with the Palmyra Sportsman's Assn., I'd prefer a range of similar quality.

Wilkes-Barre Rifle and Pistol Club is close to you. http://wbrp.net/
I have shot IDPA there. Nice facility.
Be safe ( and near by).

No hits,I am in the same boat as you, I found this on the luzerne county forum and was thinking about joining, can't speak for the Plamyra range, but as you can see, what choice do ya have. In this day and age, it may be a good idea to open an indoor range if ya could afford it in our area. I am sure you could turn a profit, its the liabilty that could be crippling. Anyway:

Look at the wilkes barre one,the range is in Muhlenburg, thats off the harveyville-hunlock creek road. Good luck and keepme in mind if ya find anything else.
I have been shooting all my life, but would like to learn more on safe handling and concealment, life threatening, and procols involved, as well as challenge under pressure.

If I can make a suggestion - for those of use who rely on the old GPS - it would be nice to have your actual (street) address on your location. My apologies if I overlooked it - senior moments you know!http://vpnavy01.com/lgdare/killingme.gif

I am a member at Mainville - it's a great range.
If you can find the Mainville Fire Dept. you will find the gate to the range, they almost share the same driveway. (I am not really from the area so I don't know the road names.)
They have some great fun shoots on the third Sunday of the month - except for the winter.
Re: Sportsmens Clubs / Ranges near Northern Columbia Co
The name of the street ironically is Fire Lane Rd. When I took over the website I asked about the club address, there is no street address. The best I can offer you is the map and directions from the website.
All of the monthly shoots are a blast. They have something for everybody no doubt. I'm hoping we will run some more 3gun shoots this year.
I know a few members lurk around here on PAFOA but most of them are not really active on the forum. If you want to check the place out send me a PM and I can try to work out a day/time to meet you there as my guest. Alternatively you can contact one of the club officers via the website and they can give you info and probably setup a time.

You might try the VFW on Shannon Hill Road in Benton. If you belong to the club, you can shoot for free. Otherwise, It costs 10.00 per year. The range is out doors.
