I vaguely recall seeing them in the news some time back but don't recall the reason. Why were they raided in past?

NANTICOKE — Federal and state law enforcement personnel have raided D&R Sports Center but are staying tight-lipped as to the nature of their investigation.
Officials at the scene said agents from Homeland Security Investigations are serving a search warrant at the sporting goods store, located at 620 Fairchild St., but referred further questions to an agency spokesman and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
According to to the Times Leader’s archives, D&R owner Mark Komoroski was sentenced in 2010 to 32 months in federal prison for conspiring to illegally export military equipment, including rifle scopes and face shields, to Russia. Komoroski later claimed on appeal that he didn’t know he was required to have a special license to export the rifle scopes.
According to Bureau of Prison records, Komoroski was released from prison in December 2012. Komoroski’s wife continued to operate the business during his incarceration, according to published reports.
Pennsylvania State Police troopers are also on scene, though HSI agents declined to specify what other agencies are involved in the investigation.

I was a customer in the mid 80s. Booming outdoors/fishing/reloading/firearms/camping business. I think the owner was arrested for exporting scopes to Russia.
Fast forward to 2-3 years ago. Stopped in to browse. 2 people working. Most lights off. Some fishing gear, old camping gear and some coats. A dirty display case of odds and end holsters. That's it. Place smelled of mold or water damage. Nothing I would spend my money on. Really sad, because I remember how well stocked and busy this place was.
Oh well. I think the 'raid' was for their records and invoices. It certainly wasn't for their inventory.
