Wellsboro man arrested on Maryland warrant
Wellsboro man arrested on Maryland warrant
A Wellsboro man was arrested on a felony warrant.
Police say Jesse Phillip Armstrong, 24, was taken into custody in Lycoming County while shopping at Gander Mountain. He attempted to purchase a firearm and was denied by the Pennsylvania Instant Check System because he had an outstanding felony arrest warrant from Maryland.
He was taken into custody without incident and arraigned in district court. Armstrong was remanded to Lycoming County Prison on $100,000 bail and is awaiting extradition to Maryland.

I guess the system works, at least some of the time.
Re: Wellsboro man arrested on Maryland warrant
The Maryland “system” failed! He had a gun stolen from him! Detectives said everything was ok but apparently a fine was ordered that he knew nothing about. So the victim of a stolen gun gets arrested for an unwarranted fine, spends 9 days in jail because of a $100,000 bail for a gun that someone stole from him! All charges were dropped after he was extradited back to Maryland. And that’s the rest of the story!

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully he sued the state of Maryland. Great first post!
