YES !!!
I was going to come over and say hello but it looked like you guys may have been focused on a match. Was that an organized match or were you guys just plinking ? It was nice talking with Bill for a little while. He's a heck of a nice guy.

HA! I'd hardly call us organized! Just a group of friends, mostly retired and mostly from fire and police that try to get togeather each week and go shooting in the morning, then have lunch and tell each other lies. We try to do a different type of firearm each week, keep every thing in the safe rotating. We even have an event name, we call it "Redneck Wednesday". That way we can differentiate ourselves from the every day golfers, dart throwers, lunch eaters, etc.
So you guys do pistols and rifles ?
I noticed that the club just down the road from the range has a sign out front advertising ammunition for sale. I didn't know if they're open to the public or what. Is that the Easton gun club ?
We do pistols, rifles ( evil & regular), shotguns, black powder. We mix it up, what ever we choose for the week.
That is Easton Fish & Game down the road. I don't belong there, but know several people who do and it's a nice place. The place that sells the ammunition is just that house where the sign is located. I think he also sells memberships to EFG.
Smit,
Does our club have "regular" meetings or do they just meet once a year for membership renewals, etc. ? I used to get an occassional newsletter in the mail but they stopped last year or maybe the year before. I was also wondering whether or not they hold organized shoots at different times throughout the year.
As far as I know they only have the one meeting a year. I've never attended but I think it's more raffle than meeting.
I went once a few years back. The hall was packed. I remember it was in the fall. We didn't stay very long because there was nowhere to sit !!! A pretty decent turnout, I would say. I did the raffle but didn't win anything. They were raffling off some good stuff too.
Where exactly is the range?
Also, is there anything longer than 100 yards for rifle practice?
I joined Hellertown Sportsman's Assoc, but would like to take the .308 to 300 yds. At 100 yds you can't do much more than zero sights.
The range is on Riverside Dr,which is the main drag through Steel City. It's about a mile past the hill climb. They only have facilities up to 100 yrds.
