You could make a sand cast mold from your lower and use polymer to make them. Guns aren't exactly rocket science.

What milling machine would you recommend? Something on a budget that works pretty well.

I think i could probably make one in a few hours out of a bar of aluminum with a corded drill and dremel, and a grinder for the general shaping.
It would be crude as hell, but i think i could make one function. Hell you can make an AK out of a shovel.

I have a rockwell... it's like a 1/2 scale Bridgeport series 1..... but no auto feed on the head, unfortunately. It's good for a garage shop and compliments my Clausing 5900 12" lathe nicely. They are hard to find, though. I think I paid about $1000 for it.

they ARE insane enough to come for your cordless drills, raskin was proposing searching out of state vehicles for firearms and detaining individuals for "days" to verify the carry permits of OOS people back during the national reciprocity debates.

people have been making guns with hand tools for hundreds of years.
...and then they came for the welders...

The gun banning communists usually do a couple of steps first before out right bans so they're jumping ahead. Usually they come up with a registration scheme like keeping a database on who these machines are sold to an call it a Record of Sale to disguise their intentions of first registering then when they pass laws banning them they know where to go to get the machines.

I don't have space for it either.

Keep in mind that tooling will cost hundreds, if not thousands, too. 4 jaw, collet chuck, collets, quick change tool post, tons of tool holders, live centers, cutting tool blanks, carbide holders, carbide inserts. Oh, an then you use your buddies lathe (or a work lathe) that has a DRO... gotta add that. Then a full floating tapping head, set of knurling wheels, tool post grinder, flood coolant, tail stock coolant....
Just know when to say "when", I don't have half that stuff for my lathe, but I'm easily at $1000 in extra stuff....
