Cabelas(Hamburg) shopping
I'll be going to Cabelas to find a holster for a revolver. I want to make sure it fits properly, so I'll have the revolver with me. How do I carry it and produce it to try in the holster without creating any problems?
Re: Cabelas(Hamburg) shopping
I would just call and ask what their policy os for bringing a firearm in for fitting a holster. If you walk in and just pull it out of your belt, you may frighten the salesperson.

Open Carry it! Problem solved. They probably wont let you handle it (the firearm).
Re: Cabelas(Hamburg) shopping
If they have the same model gun for sale, ask them to fit their counter model.
Re: Cabelas(Hamburg) shopping
C'mon people, this has been discussed before........
If the gun is going to be handled, it needs to be checked at the front door.
It's not rocket science!!!!!!
If your going to carry, carry a different gun, take the wheel gun, un-loaded, and check it at the door........
Re: Cabelas(Hamburg) shopping
I knew you checked guns to be serviced at the door, but I wasn't sure about this. Thanks.
Re: Cabelas(Hamburg) shopping
Do they put a lock or tag through the cylinder? If so, it will be pretty hard to get it into a holster.

Don't know about that, I buy and trade locally, for better prices, and I have a REAL Gunsmith, I use......;)

This is what I have done in the past, just go on a weekday so you get to the gun counter.
