Joe always treats me good. I don't mind spending $40 and a longer drive for good service. The whole gun community is in bizzaro world right now so what's an extra $15?

I like Joe and have a good relationship with him although he is stepping down and his son is taking over. He has every right to charge what the market will bear. When I started with Joe a couple of years ago it was $25 which was great. Two years or so later it went up to $30. No problem. Now it*s jumping up to $40 and to the point where it*s getting closer to Targetmaster price territory. After the son opens the new store they won*t be a basement ffl anymore. I like stability and there are other ffl*s in the area who*s price has been consistent for years that are also good people. In this case Donald Eastburn who is about the same distance from me as the Thin Blue Line and also someone I like.
Believe me I have no ill will against Joe and have referred well over a dozen people to him over the years, but the latest price hike has me going elsewhere now.
Joe is awesome! Been dealing with him for a long time. Hell of a nice guy and was a real blessing for us in Delco. I wouldn't mind paying $40 at all. I used to throw in an extra $5 or $10 tip just because it was such a pleasurable experience to visit and chat with him. This is great to hear about his son opening a local range, I want in on that!
Sounds like an awesome range/business minus the $40 fee.
Thankfully the president of my gun club is an FFL so he does it for members for $10
I actually want to open a store/indoor range that allows renting of guns. I have a plan in mind, even looked at a few locations, but haven't' gotten too serious
I love my current job, will get a pension and medical, and I really don't want to put in the work that is required to run your own business. Maybe, someday, if the job goes south
What became of the plans of the future range joe was planning?
There was a movement in marple twp where a group of broomall residents were trying to stop any plans of the indoor from opening.
It moved to Malvern. https://mainlinearmory.com/
