45 colt is really a addicting cartridge. Especially in single action revolvers. It's all I really care to shoot anymore.

It's starting to grow on me. I have 110 pcs of brass, so I'll load up 100. Hopefully this week I can get the press set up. Looking forward to shooting this gun some more.

I have a S&W Governor that shoots 45 Colt but I mostly shoot 45 ACP with it since I don't have reloading tools for Colt, or is it 45 Long Colt? :)

The correct name is .45 Colt. But decades later they introduced a "new" cartridge the .45 ACP (automatic Colt pistol). This apparently confused enough people so they started adding Long to the name. But it is not needed.

There was also the .45 Schofield which was the same diameter but shorter in C.O.A.L. It served in the Army side by side with the .45 Colt.

Can't speak to the effectiveness of the cartridge. But a Schofield revolver in a modern caliber and set up for moonclips is one of my few "Grail Guns".
