While I agree, as far as I can tell the woman was sitting in the passenger seat of the car while it was parked. Not much situational awareness can do for you at that point.

The crash launched the woman into the air and she landed in the eastbound lanes where she was struck by a second vehicle, a gold Nissan, according to investigators.
The driver of the white Mitsubishi fled the scene while the driver of the Nissan remained, police said.
