Thanks, I think I'm looking at .003 or so. I'll run some more tomorrow and see what I find.

This... you should be producing virtually identical rounds.
Re: Dillon RL550B tips and Tricks
So...if reloading for highest accuracy, would one measure every round and use rounds that were exactly identical or would that small difference be irrelevant?
Re: Dillon RL550B tips and Tricks
So...today I measured up the batch that I made and all were within acceptable tolerances. I took them to the range and shot them through my Hipoint 9mm carbine. Any idea what kind of velocity I should be seeing out the end of this thing? I'm still figuring out this Labradar chrono so I only got readings on four of the shots but they ranged from 1257 to 1340 at V0. I'm thinking that rifle velocities would be higher than pistol.

What powder did you use? My own experience with pistol caliber rifles is there is always some increase in velocity over the same load in a pistol, but the slower powders give the greatest boost in velocities in the rifle.
Re: Dillon RL550B tips and Tricks
I got to get a crono. How I gauge speed is how far the pistol comes back:)

Hogdon HP-38. And I'm just getting this part down and now you want to add rate of burn on the powder?

Haha, no. But you asked about expected velocity, and that will usually vary based on powder burn rate. I recall hp38 is a fairly fast powder, but if you have any Power Pistol you’ll likely see a larger gain in the rifle velocity.

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. The V0 is higher than what the chart says it should be and I figured it was because it's a longer barrel. So now I need to try it in a pistol and see if I can time it.
