Some information i came across. I think it would be a good for Pennsylvania to get involved on a national level. I am posting this to raise awareness i will be attending with my family.
I know a march is planned for the 23rd but are people planning to go to this too? I know I am in for both.

I will be at this and also going the 23rd. This is a Saturday so turnout should be really good.

I'd be pretty interested to go to this in addition to the rally on the 23rd. Hope there will be a good turn out for this as well as organization.

Re: Guns Across America
Sorry for the noob question but is open carry or concealed carry legal on the streets if Harrisburg and the steps of the capital?

Re: Guns Across America
I called the capitol police and they said its a public street out front so if you follow Pa laws you should be fine. If you try to go inside the building you must check your weapon and they lock it up for you until you leave. I read somewhere else that Pa may still be in a state of emergency because of Hurricane Sandy so I would look into that if you don't have a LTCF and planned to open carry. I urge you to do you own research..

Re: Guns Across America
It was a nice rally. At least 300 people present. Channel 8 and Fox 43 took video and a few interviews. No counter protesters that I saw. Harrisburg parking meter maids also cut us a break by not ticketing (Forster St at least) as the event duration went past 1:30, which was more than we paid into the parking meters.

I think your estimate of 300 is considerably on the low side.
I parked right on State street. Went to feed the meter; found it clearly marked that parking is free on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
There were a few people with slung rifles including a chick with an AR. A few more were OC'ing pistols. At one point one of the speakers noted that there were relatively few people OC'ing and asked for a show of hands from those who had come armed. About 90% of the crowd raised their hands.
There were a few (less than half a dozen) Capitol Police officers around. They did not hassle anyone. :)
