I normally shoot at Classic Pistol, so I know the rules there. The times I have gone to an outdoor range was limited to when the PGC range in Bucks was open. I would always get there right at 8am and would shoot for maybe a hour and I wouldn't normally see anyone. So what would be the safe rules at an outdoor range like Burma. Basically what should you do and what shouldn't you do. I understand some people don't follow any rules but I would like to follow the 'rules'.
Umm, muzzle sweep central?
Having grown up in this area I know, ppl can be quite protective of places they go to. This place gets pretty crowded most days and ppl around here don't like that. Thats why all the secrecy and tight lipped behavior. I remember when I could ride my dirtbike right down the hill from the shooting range. Now most days its too crowded to even try.
Its still crowded with the prices of ammo the way they are? The range near our mountain house is very quiet.
Before the ammo shitstorm hit, from sun up til sundown all you heard was shooting. Now its a few shots here and there.
I remember burma when i was a kid. My grandparents lived on mill st. We always heard shooting. I'll leave burma to the locals...
Hey, I was out there this weekend. It was slow so we had the run of the place. Had a great time.
Bogey, there is a story up there. Somebody showed up and gave us a long tale of bullshit.
I'm taking the little lady and the daughter up there soon. We were there in the middle of the hot days, and the missus was getting sick from the heat.
Just going to plink. More fam-fire and maybe work on the aim.
Report back!
Thanks for the warning.I know of another place I'll go to.There was a place on a dirt road past the Good Intent Fire Co.in Lewellyn, but a cop came(he was real cool though, friendly)and told us no one's allowed to shoot there anymore. The whole darn place out there's all posted now.I had a camp not far from the RR tracks, now that's all posted, and all the back roads have been blocked off.It sure wasn't that way when me and my buddies in the 70's road around all night in our 4x4's.
