Pennsylvania Firearms Association (Inc.) ???
Not sure if to put it here or politics section, figured it would get more views/comment/info here.
I just receive a money solicitation mailing from Pennsylvania Firearms Association, Inc. The Political Director is Chris Dorr. Anyone know of this outfit? Did quick google and it came up with a facebook page. Then googled Chris Dorr and it seems he is also the Director of the board of the Ohio Gun Owners (org, group, company, ???)
Seems I've heard this guys name recently and not necessarily in a good light??
The PA org is a 501(c)(4) organization.
Any inputs?
Re: ??Pennsylvania Firearms Association INC???
There's information about him in this thread: http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.ph...ght=Chris+Dorr
It ain't good.
Re: ??Pennsylvania Firearms Association INC???
Thanks, I knew I read about him somewhere and rereading that post confirmed it. Solicitation into the garbage can. I would expect a lot of gun owners are getting this letter and who know how much money he will receive (not much I hope).
To all: pass this on and tell people to beware.
Re: ??Pennsylvania Firearms Association INC???
Probably no coincidence that he called himself something that sounds like PAFOA.

Maybe edit thread title to add spaces between the name and the question mark so this thread comes up better in searches as a warning.

Definitely. I'd sticky the thread too so it's always near the top.

You are better off sending your money to me cuz I ain't not got no job and need ammo... Thanks.
Re: ??Pennsylvania Firearms Association INC???
I would not give to that organization.
We already have FOAC, and this new organization will never have the pull or power that FOAC has.
Also, I'm talking to an associate of Dorr's to get "the other side" of the story, and this guy assures me that Dorr is on the "up and up." Next, I plan on confronting Dorr himself since now I have 2 different stories from people around him. Let's go to the source.
That being said, there's enough left in question to cast enough doubt that there's no way I'd give to this new group soliciting for money. What have they done to advance gun rights in PA besides show up to the hearings?

When you google Pennsylvania Firearms Association, Inc, guess what the first hit is?
There's no coincidence there, IMO.
