What are the best options for an accurate bolt rifle? My friend has a scoped 20 ga (single shot) and shooting sabots he can stay under 2-3 inches at 100. Most of the options for straight walled are in lever actions that usually use iron sights. And the crappy iron sights with buckhorns and maybe even a bead up front.
Not talking about custom rebarreling either. Are their any off the shelf bolt options?

There are plenty of Ruger Americans floating around in .450 bushmaster or .350 legend. Accuracy is pretty cheap these days.

With the 300 grain cast bullet there was substantial over penetration but no expansion. Would of made a much better bullet for a bear instead of a medium sized whitetail.
