Sure it is. It's a cash cow for many officer's that are pocketing all that overtime, and may also realize increased pensions because of that overtime.

Yeah. I'm holding off a little while for visiting my daughter in Pittsburgh. I fear my New Jersey plates would be seen as being an even brighter yellow color this month.

Check your tickets. Court costs, Fees, Misc. Fees, and several other nebulous charges that go to the issuing Township, and County also.

Doesn't the town that issued the tickets also eventually get some type of state funding due to their high "crime" rate displayed by all those tickets?
Re: LEOs where they usually aren't
Saw this article a while ago about a officer sueing the town he works for.

Re: LEOs where they usually aren't
I wouldn’t have any problem at all with them issuing all the high dollar citations they want, on one condition. IF the accused is found to not be guilty, or the judge (yeah, find an honest magistrate in PA) finds them not guilty by reason of circumstance, the cop that wrote the ticket splits the full cost of the ticket, legal fees, accused’s attorneys fees, with his township and all goes to the accused, in addition to a full days pay at the accused’s normal overtime rate, and the cop pays his township his overtime rate for failing to write legitimate citations.
Then you will see honest policing, and an end to gouging the citizens.

Nah, in my experience, NJ plates go by too fast in the left lane to be recognized with certainty on the vehicles to which they are affixed. :p;)

Just put gay pride stickers and a bike rack on your car.
Rent a Subaru if you can.
Shouldn't have any problems.

Hehe.
So that is why this former Pennsylvania driver has the right lane all to myself on I-78 in New Jersey... ;-)

Hmm...
One out of three. ... I have the subaru!
They were/are good cars for snowy (and sometimes icy) pocono roads.
