Upcoming events at Riggles Gap Sportsmens Club, Altoona, PA

I just wanted to let everyone know about our upcoming events at the Riggles Gap Sportsmen Club (Blair County Game, Fish, and Forestry Association). For folks that aren't familiar with the club, you can check out our website at www.blaircountygame.com.

Once again, we will be hosting a gun show at the club on May 17th and 18th, 2014 from 9:00am-4:00pm. The Spring Gun Raffle will be drawn on Sunday at 4:00 PM. Tickets will be available at the show for $2.00 each. Admission to the show is $3.00 and kids under 16 are free. We still have some tables available for both dealers and individuals that would like to sell guns and gear. More details and a registration form can be found in the forum gun show listing at:

Do you need to be present to win for the raffle drawing? Didn't recall seeing if you did or didn't on the ticket.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I missed your post.

No, you do not need to be present to win. If a winner is not local and wants the cash option, we can mail the check. For the guns, the winner needs to complete the transfer at DFR Sports Shop in Altoona.

For others that might be interested, the prizes on this ticket are:

1st - Glock Gen 3 9mm or $400
2nd - S&W M&P 40C or $375
3rd - Ruger LCR or $350
4th - Ruger 10/22 Camo or $200
5th - Taurus 738 TCP .380 ACP or $185
6th - Stevens 350 12Ga or $175

Tickets are $2.00 each and can be picked up at the club.

I also want to let everybody know that the membership body and Gun Show committee decided to make all of the Spring Gun Show tables FREE! We had a couple of guys that couldn't make it to this show. They normally take multiple tables, so this left us with extras that we want to fill. If anybody is interested in getting one or more tables, please send an email to blaircountygame(at)gmail(.)com. The only thing that we require is a $20 deposit per table. You'll get your entire deposit back on Sunday afternoon if you are present for both days of the show and fill the tables that you've reserved.
