Firearms Used in Self Defense
I have read and seen general statements about the number for times annually that firearms are used in self defense. The number is significant if it is true. I have never seen the source. Does anyone have this information, including a reliable source for it? I want to emphasize it in the letters that I will write to PA lawmakers prior to the hearing. Unlike our RINO/Democrat political adversaries, I prefer to use reliable facts concerning firearms issues.

Here is a video explanation of them all along with the links to the material you are looking for in the description.

Also remember that a good portion of those 33,000-35,000 gun related deaths a year are criminals that were killed by a law abiding gun owner in justifiably self defense.
Now that I am on a desk top here are the links.

..
CDC, in Surveys It Never Bothered Making Public, Provides More Evidence That Plenty of Americans Innocently Defend Themselves with Guns
CDC surveys in the 1990s, never publicly reported, indicate nearly 2.5 million defensive uses of guns a year.
That matches the results of Gary Kleck's controversial surveys, and it indicates more defensive than offensive uses of guns.

You don't need a crystal ball to predict what the future holds for America. Just look at South Africa today. Don't know the context of this vid. Maybe a drug deal gone bad, but it's basically Mad Max down there. Even what looks like a nice well-kept, middle class neighborhood has walls around the homes and bars on the windows. You take your life in your hands just taking out the trash or driving to work.
Video description says it will only be available for a short period, but that was 2019, so...
