Basically my question is: what is the margin of error of gas block alignment? I assume the hole in the block is bigger than the barrel gas port... How much bigger? How much movement can happen before gas flow is impeded?
Also what is the consensus on thread locker for gas block set screws?
May have found the answer... Most set-screw type low profile gas blocks are either 0.136" or 0.159" so there's a pretty generous margin of error with respect to gas port alignment.
I always heard the gas ports were 16/87ths.
Might be just a hair overgassed except for the bottom barrel bargain brands around today for $0.90 a round :pQuote:
