Question about target shooting on private property
I own 20 acres in Mercer County, PA. I was target shooting with 2 other friends over the weekend behind my house. We had various calibers of handguns and a few rifles/shotguns. My neighbors called the police to complain that I was disturbing the peace. Nothing came of it, but I'm now wondering what my rights are as a gun owner and land owner to shoot during daylights hours on my property. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

/forum.pafoa.org/pennsylvania-10/134130-laws-about-home-ranges.html#post1577473 Check out this thread most of what you need is discussed in it. Most of your concerns will be local zoning ordinances, and some game law considerations during big game seasons

Thanks, I'm having trouble finding the thread, though. I'm fairly new to this, but I appreciate your help.

Go to the Pennsylvania section and you will find the thread there. If you can't find it then pm me I will try to help more.
Re: Question about target shooting on private property
I presume your land is in an outlying township.
You would have to check with them and see if there is a noise ordinance or something along those lines.
Basically if its rural and there are no close neighbors there’s not likely anything they can do. Evident by the way the police handled the call. Not a bad idea to try and work out something with the neighbors though. Unless they’re just anti gun assholes then have at it.:D
