They won't want to admit we were right about his mental state. At least not until a reasonable time period has passed and most of the useful idiots have forgotten all about it. Or be told what to think. So they will keep him largely behind the scenes, letting Kamaltoe do most of the work (guided by her handlers) with Joe as an unseen figurehead. As long as they can continue to pull that off, he will stay. If that becomes unmanageable, then he will go.
