If you have the time this is your best bet.

My last renewal in DELCO was taking a little longer than normal, still within the 45 calendar days though. I called the sheriff's office to check on it and was told they could not give any info over the phone, privacy concerns, I had to stop in and ask. I did, and it had been there for a week, never got notice it was in.
.

$40M gun lawsuit against Monroe County Sheriff’s Office
that's about it.
and case law ruling in our favor from past suits.
Re: LTCF Application at 50 + days
Usually Wayne County is prompt, and renewal is even faster.
Talk to the sheriff's office...

Probably the same as all the preemption violations.

The penalty is specific immunity.

That has been my experience too. No issues, very friendly. Talking to the Sheriff or staff is a good idea. I always figured that the reference requirement was a possible hitch so I made sure that my references were reliable people who would act on the request when given, also double checked their addresses and made out the envelopes addressed to them. I think the Sheriffs office wants you to do that.
Please let us know how this goes.

I stopped in today and checked to see if my second reference sent his form in and he did so I was able to pick my LTCF ID card. My pervious second reference never checked her mail that what they said was holding the process up. It really felt like it took forever but I got it in the end so I guess its what counts. Thanks for the advice everyone !
