Ran into Sheetz to get a drink and got plenty of 'the look' from folks there. I didn't survey the license plates in the parking lot, but I strongly suspect they were just suburban Mechanicsburg Karens, not out-of-staters.
Suspect had more to do with your lack of mask then firearm.
Most people don*t even notice OC, is the general experience of those who do it often.

Man OCing might be a cop. That might tend to make some appear nervous and wary.

Actually, I did have a mask on. That wasn't it.
Re: Marylander STARED at me
I have a friend from NJ, who came across the border to this semi-free state one time to attend an event with me. I was at the hotel early and he called me when he checked into his room. We agreed to meet out by the truck to go for dinner I was OC'ing my 1911 Kimber. He was like "Hey its great to see you, (As he quickly lets go of the handshake), WTF Are u doing with that ? Im like what ? (As he's pointing to the gun). Um ya PA dude we can openly carry a handgun here. . . . He was speechless for the next 2 hours except all of the gun discussion during dinner. Mind u he's got a lot of guns in NJ (Or at least what they tell him he is allowed to own). He told me it takes a long time just to get the paper that just allows you to start the selection process to buy a handgun. Then the waiting period after you pick one out the waiting period till u can pick it up. He asked me how long it took here.. I'm like "Same Day, probably takes 20 minutes or so if the aren't too busy". He was astonished....

The phrase "guaranteed rights" used in this thread, during this time has to make you laugh.
The government has proven since March that all we have is permission, and that permission can be revoked at any time with the stroke of a pen.
Guaranteed rights my ass.

Rude as hell, the hell was that guy so damn surprised about? Gun owners get looked down upon like roaches.

Just saying.
Having good situational awareness would lead me to keep on the suspicious person watching ME.
I'd stare right back at him the entire time.
