That's what bothers me. Like I said know a bunch of cops working currently that have never fired their weapon. That includes one now retired NYPD cop and one NY transit cop.

2-3 % of Peace Officers will use their weapon in the use of deadly Physical Force in their carreers 1

On the other hand, the loons who end up killing cops have a pattern to them, I believe. They act weird. They won't obey reasonable orders (not the "5 cops are screaming simultaneously "don't move!" and "walk backwards slowly!" and "get on the ground NOW!!)
it could go either way, or some 3rd way. The DA could be crooked and covering for a killer. It could just be that SOMEWHERE in the USA a cop will be at the extreme right on the "killings per career" graph without doing anything wrong. I've seen stories of people who hit the lottery for over a million, twice, which I wondered about because why would they keep playing if they won once?
It's all worth talking about, but we don't have the facts to conclude anything yet. I'd like to see 12 jurors all arrive at the same decision, after spirited prosecution and spirited defense.
The DA looks shady too. Did you see the 5am shooting spree video posted? Makes one think,
a lot of these people watch too many movies. Or just want a kill under their belt.

This article has a nice summary and history of the Splains 4 incidents. Does not seem to be a hit piece.

And time to retire him to a desk job. Whether justified or not, no good can come from putting him in a position where he may find himself faced with a situation of a 5th incident.
Re: Pa State Trooper has killed 4 in 4 incidents
Sometimes random shit happens for no reason.
I wouldn't be concerned about the numbers I'd be concerned if each incident was legit.

Pennsylvania state trooper arrested following alleged road rage incident
KENNETT TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- A Pennsylvania State Trooper has been suspended without pay after an alleged road rage incident in Chester County.
Officers arrested David Levy, of Kennett Square, for official oppression, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault charges.
Reports show the incident happened in late December when Levy was off-duty.
Witnesses say he forced another vehicle off the road near Longwood Gardens and pointed his gun at other cars.
