Re: Share Deals on Guns Ammo Accessories Here
Thats a shame. I guess I could find a second hand tube for cheap, but I guess the Shockwave does good enough for plinking.

What a pain in the ass to have to deal with all that nonsense.

I find the Shockwave Blade (original) to be perfectly adequate on a 5.56 AR pistol.
An SBA3 is absolutely more comfortable to shoot with, but if you're on a budget, the Blade "works" just fine for WAY less money.
If money isn't an issue, then the SBA3 (or 4 - I prefer the 3) is the better choice.

The Shockwave Blade 2... it doesn't use a carbine buffer tube - it uses a PROPRIETARY milspec-STYLE buffer tube.
Apparently they got too much flack over such dumb-fuckery that they NOW have a SECOND version of the version 2 with the letter M in the description. THAT one uses a standard buffer tube.
It's enough to make your head spin.

I see it now.
Yeah, those photos are the 2.0M, but I didn't make that distinction at the time.
I shall quietly return to my dishwashering...
Re: Share Deals on Guns Ammo Accessories Here
Why they would think using a proprietary tube was a good idea is beyond me. They cant be saving that much money making tubes in house vs sourcing out milspec tubes from a cheap manufacturer, and if they were, why not just make a milspec tube from the start?
Maybe because a milspec tube can accept a regular stock and they didnt want people making illegal SBRs with their Shockwave tubes, or just avoiding any ATF fuckery about using tubes that can accept a stock. Idk.
Its not a good look though lol

Will quickly add that I like the SBA3 better than the SBA4 also.

The legal thing you mention is what I was thinking.
Used to be the "rule" was that a pistol MUST have a PISTOL buffer tube - just a round tube without the thing on the bottom that a carbine tube has for adjustments. I swear the diameter was larger on pistol tubes as well - so that a stock is unable to be added.
I don't know when things changed, but I was blown away that the SB Tactical braces were designed to use a standard carbine buffer tube.
Whatever. I can work with that.
