Concealed Carry Sheriff Office times

I'm new to the forum. But wanted to let you know:

Due to a staff shortage the Tioga County Sheriff's office as of 2/1/13 will process License to Carry Concealed Weapons applications on Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 9 - 12 and 1 - 3 until further notice.

I renewed my "License" a couple of weeks ago and they told me that applications have risen 50% over last year.

The renewal fee was still $20 in January 2013. But you still need to fill out the forms, have two references and get a new picture.

This renewal form is a new thing. Last time I had to renew my permit it was just go in they did a background check and then is you passed they issued the permit. Now you need two references and they must be residents of the county. I thought that the sheriff was suppose to be a friend of the gun owner.

the sheriff is NOT a friend of gun owners! i dont know when he comes up for election again,but he needs to be looking for a different job!!!
