Received my New LTCF Permit on March 7th
Just an FYI for those looking to get a new LTCF permit in Bucks.
I went with filled out application in hand to receive my New LTCF Permit (as I had let my old one expire.)
When visiting the Government Services Center in Levittown - I was told that the process would take approximately 2 weeks - but that if I went to Doylestown - it would be completely while I waited.
I then went to Doylestown - and it was completed in approximately 40 minutes. No references were checked to my knowledge.
The fee was $20 cash - and I received a laminated paper card -as opposed to the higher fee of 6-7 years ago (nearly $60 then) and a sturdier drivers license type permit.

I am in Monroe County and got the same thing when I did my address update I paid 5 dollars and got the same style... I wish I would have the thicker one back.

I still don't understand this....they should be able to issue while you wait no matter which office you go to. There is nothing that is done at the Courthouse that can't be done at the annex.

I agree ^^^ I don't get how DELCO is behind a month on processing. Wish I had a relative or froend in Bucks i would switch adress and apply out there. Same day service is nice.

Maybe the courthouse doesn't have a dedicated employee to do LTCFs and therefore they get behind and have to have the waiting period?? Just guessing <shrug>

I thought a Sheriff needs to sign off on it...I always figured the reason it got done at the courthouse was because he is available to sign off on it. But that was just my assumption based on what the deputy told me while I was waiting.

HiredGoon - the Levittown Government Services Center appears to have one employee dedicated to issuing permits - while there appear to be several up at Doylestown.
stabile007 - I believe that gets done after they issue the permit - when they finalize the paperwork (after the PICS check when you are there) - but who really knows, right?

I think Levittown uses the Doylestown machine to print out the card....they will take your paperwork but thats why there is a delay.
I would just drive the extra 1/2 hour and get it done instantly.
