Same. Like what’s the actual purpose or intention
This was my second LTCF (1986), which gives you an example of Protection/Sport under Reason For Carrying, and note the area for your Hunting License No.

That is over 16.8% of the adult population of the commonwealth. Since Pennsylvania is not a desirable state for one to get an out of state LTCF for (doesn*t really allow you to carry anywhere else, unlike FL or Utah, you can safely assume more all all of them are Pennsylvania residents, with a very small, small number being people who are regular visitors.
I don*t think there is another state that has numbers as high, and just a few years ago when I ran the numbers it was only 12.5%. Simply put, more people carry here then anywhere else in the country, with perhaps the exception of Alabama.
Sure, states like Florida have more total people licensed, but 1: a Florida permits allows
More reciprocity, so it is more desirable for out of state people to get, and two, as a percentage of their population it is only 10%.
Given the number of Florida man stories, and the fact that I have had to express appreciation to my wife for never w assaulted me with Spaghetti or stabbed me with a squirrel because of florid news stories, I can only assume the only reason everyone in Florida doesn*t carry is their racist, expensive, and unconstitutional requirements for obtaining a cc permit in that state.
I forgot I started this thread. Or I would have kept up with it. But anyway here is the latest info from the PSP Website.
Again found here on the site: https://www.psp.pa.gov/firearms-info...nsylvania.aspxQuote:
LTC permits: 1,618,800; Sportsman permits: 10,154 as of Jan. 2, 2024.
Also I found this pdf file of the 2022 PSP Firearms Annual Report
https://www.psp.pa.gov/firearms-info...ual_Report.pdf
There is a lot of info about how many time PICS was used, total number of guns bought/transfer at FFLs, total FFLs per county ( Funny thing Philadelphia County even thou it a fairly big county only has 8 FFLs ).
I'll keep watch of the site for the 2023 Report.
