Re: Concealed Carry Seminar
Pickett, Baker To Bring Concealed Carry Seminar To Leroy
Reps. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) and Matt Baker (R-Tioga/Bradford/Potter) will bring another one of their popular concealed carry seminars to the Pepper Auction Barn in Leroy Township on Tuesday, March 29, from 6-8 p.m.
“These seminars have provided a wealth of information to residents who already own firearms and have concealed carry permits or those looking to apply for a concealed carry permit,” Pickett said. “The presentations not only include details about our state’s firearms laws but
also a refresher on the Castle Doctrine, a law we passed a few years ago.”
“These events are always popular with area residents who want to exercise their Second Amendment rights,” said Baker. “There is a lot of great information that is shared and I encourage those wishing to attend to sign up quickly, as these seminars tend to fill up fast.”
In addition to an overview of the state’s firearms laws, the seminar will include information on how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm, as well as the legal aspects of Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary when threatened by an armed intruder.
Registration is required for this event and can be made by going online at RepBaker.com or RepPickett.com, or by calling Baker’s Troy office at 570- 297-3045 or Pickett’s Towanda office at 570-265-3124. Seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
