Looking For A Place To Shoot
I belong to a local gun club which has a great range. The problem is that it is often very crowded, especially on a weekend when the wife and grandson also shoot. I also suspect that not all of the people are members but the club has no way to stop them from abusing the rules. Does anyone know someone who has a suitable place to shoot and would be willing to let us practice there? I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee and dispose of any targets or anything else that was used and pick up all the brass. Another reason to find another place to go is that we would be able to practice shooting kneeling, prone etc. I live close to Cabela's and do not mind driving a reasonable distance. Thanks

There is Northkill Rod and Gun club
4531 Irish Creek Rd, Bernville, Pa
(610) 488-7113
Bit farther south is Daniel Boone Rod and Gun Club, which I belong too. Initial sign up is $40, $30 for membership and $10 for key card to work private gate at entrance. $20 per year for renewal each yr.
Both a bit of a drive for you. But both are nice and don't get too crowded on weekends.

Fairly close for me. I'll take a look.

Cool, I know with DBGC you have to know someone to get in. If you need a reference name, let me know ;)

Re: Looking For A Place To Shoot
The reason I mentioned Tulpehocken is the number of ranges.
We have 2 properties, the Bergers Rd Range has a 100/200yd Rifle range, a 25 yd "bullseye pistol" range(Pistol Cal Only) and a 10-25 yd Steel Pistol range(Pistol Cal. Only).
The Molleystown Range has a 100/200yd Rifle Range, a 25yd "utility Range", and 2, 25 yd Pistol Bays. We are planning to add 2, or 3 more Pistol Bays in the near future.
There is almost always somewhere to go, if the range you wanted to shoot on is in use.
Dues for youngsters (under 18) are $10 to join($5, dues, & $5 for initiation), and $5/year thereafter.
Re: Looking For A Place To Shoot
I will definitely check out Tulpehocken. Can someone join right there and immediately shoot or must joining be done by other means? Sorry, I'm having trouble pulling up their web site. Thanks
