New member, just applied for LTCF!!
Hey guys, I am a new member however I am not new to this site. I have been reading your posts and educating myself from them so thank you for that. This is my first post and I just applied for my LTCF last week. I already own a gun which I purchased last year. In case you're curious I bought a Smith & Wesson SD40 which was a new model at the time. I now regret that choice and would have much rather picked up a Smith & Wesson M&P 40 which at the time was on sale and was not much more. I can't wait until I recieve my LTCF!!

http://vpnavy01.com/lgdare/oldman_01.gif Welcome aboard JackEdward! Quit second guessing yourself on your first firearm. There is nothing wrong with the Smith & Wesson SD40. After you get it - then start saving up for your next purchase. Let us know how your LTCF goes.

Welcome.............Jack! Let us know when you get your LTCF, so we can gauge the issuing time in Delco.
Re: New member, just applied for LTCF!!
Thanks guys! I will keep you posted as to how long it takes. Hopefully it won't take the 45 business days they said. Just from looking at recent Delco applicants it seems the SO is getting more efficient. I've seen some people on here getting theirs in less than 3 weeks. Fingers crossed.
Re: New member, just applied for LTCF!!
Congrats on your LTCF application and handgun purchase. Practice shooting it, learn its and your limitations and you'll be fine. If I step off of my curb I'm in Ridley too so if you want to go shooting with me some weekend at DCF&S let me know.
Re: New member, just applied for LTCF!!
Thanks for the invite jbrower. Yes, you are right by me. I'd love to go one weekend. I can always use more friends who share an interest in guns and target shooting. Many of my buddies don't have an interest in the sport. That would be great. After I get my LTCF maybe you could even give me some advice and recommendations on the proper pistol for CC, OC and everyday carry. I was thinking along the lines of a Walther PPK or PPQ or maybe even a baby Glock or something. That bulky S&W SD40 isn't going to be a good everyday carry, plus it has a very heavy trigger. I hate that damn trigger haha. Thanks again.
Re: New member, just applied for LTCF!!
Well 35 days later, I can now proudly say I have received my LTCF! It's incredible that I received it as quick as I did. Although I put it in weeks before Sandy Hook I still thought it would take 70 days after the gun frenzy set it. Not too bad Delco...
