Class discussion!
I know i have not posted in a while i have been very busy with school but i have something i just had to post i hope this is the right section.
I am a Criminal Justice student and today one of my professors who is actually my advisor brought up an interesting case he wanted to discuss it involved a group at an old country buffet in Dixon City!!!
Thats right the PAFOA open carry dinner that involved the arrest! Believe it or not a college Professor wanted to speak in favor of our little group here! he wanted to discuss why the actions of the police where wrong!!
I was proud to announce that i am a member of the group and was well aware of the case although a few people felt it necessary to comment on the evil guns the majority actually support carry firearms! we read the new paper article about the occurance and My professor began by asking who agreed with the police and only three people agreed with them! The professor also let it slip that he believes in civilians carrying! so i realize this is a random post but it was very very exciting for me to be able to support the group in a class discussion!!
Also i was able to use some of my knowledge from this forum to support my argument and even handed out some of the open carry flyers!
one student commented that open carry makes people uncomfortable so we should not do it i asked for a pole of the class who was a afraid of dogs the person who made the comment raised his hand i asked if when he saw a dog in the park it made him uncomfortable he responded yes. i then asked why walking dogs is still allowed he then had nothing else to say!
So thanks guys for giving my class a topic and giving me the "ammunition"needed to have an argument for our rights!

Criminal justice major eh... is the majority of your class planning to become patrol officers or are you mostly going into other facets of the profession?

Re: Class discussion!
Keep up the good work. You're input in the class could save someone down the road from a major headache or worse.

Re: Class discussion!
Hey mastiff where do you go to school? I graduated from Cal and a childhood buddy of mine was working for a local PD at the time we were in school. Nobody knew he was a cop however some days he was in uniform due to work right after. But schools are big and you dont remember people. Point is he would open carry to class when in street clothes and nobody said a word about it.
