Franklin binary trigger problem
Hopefully someone can help me fix this issue. I just installed a franklin trigger, but for some reason it doesn't fire on the trigger release. On pull it releases the hammer fully, but on release it only releases partially. I've sanded the edges, tried using a different hammer spring and it still does it. hopefully someone else has had this problem and found a fix. Google has been little help

Re: Franklin binary trigger problem
Is it true you need to *tune* a binary trigger in order to get it to operate correctly? I was reading up on them a little bit recently and came across some information that suggested things like changing ammo, etc. could throw off the trigger*s function, requiring adjustments to be made.
Re: Franklin binary trigger problem
The adjustment they contend are to the buffer spring, but other components may stack and cause other problems.
To the OP, what lower side you put the binary into and did it have a working trigger before?
I can imagine an 80% could have tolerance stacking that could cause issues
Re: Franklin binary trigger problem
Did you function test it prior to shooting it? I have both BSFII and Echo binaries and they both work for me. I suspect OP didn't follow directions.

Yes. It is failing the function test.

Yes it had a working trigger prior, and no it's now a 80% lower. Bushmaster xm15 lower.

Have you considered Bang's advice of using the Franklin armory customer service. I'm sure they've seen it all and a malfunctioning fire control unit can create a lot of problems for you. Especially if it starts going full auto.

I am still in the function check stages. So currently I can say it's not a buffer spring or ammo issue
