Wishing Wakefield was still here, to tell us about his Hi-Point.
Lowliest in terms of cost - J Frame 642 38spl, in terms of caliber - J Frame 351PD 22 mag.
I still own an LCP but I haven't carried it in ages, don't remember the last time I did, so I don't think iI would call it one of my "carry" guns any more.
The "lowliest" ones in price, size and caliber I carry now is either a j-frame 38 or a Glock 42, depending on my mood.

Not sure I've carried since getting the p365, and a second p365.
A circa 1989 (high point of their quality, I think) Taurus M85CH 5-shot snub in .38. I load it with Speer God Dots +p hollowpoints for short-barreled revolvers, and it fits in my jeans pocket in a Kramer horsehide pocket holster. Although I prefer my .45, of course, I really don't feel too under-gunned with the snub. I think snubs in general are underrated for most civilian defensive needs.
