We are heading there on vacation next week and I am strongly considering cc. Wondering what to expect with protests, etc.. Also, I am aware of where I can and cannot carry, but wasn't sure if any further restrictions had been put in place recently.

Other than employing what should be your daily 'situational awareness', I think you're good to go. My belief is that the recent "threats" over the holiday were just smoke, and perhaps a test to see what the response would be. By all accounts, despite many many people being in town for the holiday, things were calm, even when opposing opinions were in close proximity.
Please remember (if I recall correctly) you can CC on gov't park land, but NOT INSIDE gov't buildings. Same as Valley Forge.
The statutory language prohibits carry in "federal facilities" which are defined as buildings "where Federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties."
Much like PA court facilities, law requires that notice be "posted conspicuously at each public entrance" of any building where the prohibition applies.
I'm not aware of any such prohibition, but would love to know if someone has more solid info on this. It piques my interest, because some idiot commenter was also proclaiming that the federal prohibition applies to "cemeteries" too when specifically discussing Gettysburg. I'm wondering if perhaps she saw some indication at the location you mention and surmised it applies to all, which to my understanding, it does not.
My view of Gettysburg this past weekend included watching a bunch of bikers with shiny hogs at the hotel, pickups with Trump flags, and the view off the front porch of a farmhouse with a 500 foot direct line of sight to the roadway. Yes, all was peaceful.
I found this from 2011. Interestingly enough, all roads lead back to Poofa, while using my Google foo.

They've had two BLM protests on the square, all peaceful, brainwashed (mostly white women) holding signs, sticking to the sidewalk.
Thanks for the info everyone, I feel better taking the fam there now.
