Thanks for the video!
Thats a very good idea. Shows gun owners are the good guys ;) or at least tries to! I wonder if it was just those couple guys doing it, or if they had more?
That would be a fun thing to do, and a great way to bring open carry to the eyes of residents.
I don't think anyone would bat an eye when they see someone actually helping the community, while exercising their right to OC.
It is a good idea. There are many businesses that sponsor a mile or two of highway and pick up the litter periodically. Find an owner who is pro 2A and OC and offer to put together a group of people to do it. Of course, tell them that everyone will be carrying openly.
I also think thats a great idea. It would be nice if we could somehow coordinate some regional "adopt a highway" groups. Be cool to see those PAFOA signs on the road. It shows gun owners in a positive light and would get a message out.
I think of biker gangs. Back in the day, you'd only hear the bad stuff. Now a days they're making headlines with "toys for tots" runs and things like that. People lightened up on them and they're more or less acceptable. Thats what we need to do. Not hide the fact that we exist, not wanting to show our hand in fear we may lose something we have(our rights). If there is a vehicle of good will and enough participation, over time it would be harder to condemn that group.
This is a great idea. I'd be willing to do something like that. If other members showed interest maybe we could get something together like it here in PA.
I'm all for this. Although I haven't OC'd in public out of uniform, I would feel more comfortable in a group of OC'ers and more likely to do it. I also think we would be less likely to get hassled by LEO while in a group and performing community service. SE PA would be a great place to do it too. I never see OC'ers in Bucks County and there's plenty of trash in lower Bucks!
I'm open to doing something like this in Bucks County as well. Just let me know when!
