Cheap .22lr scooe recomendation
I have a very cheap Savage .22lr
Good shooter. Accurate at 50 yards, which is what I bought it for.
I want to out a scope on it that would help at 50 yards.
I want to do this cheaply. The rifle was all of $140. I am not putting a $200+ optic on it for range plinking
Any suggestions?
Use is 50 to 100 yard broad daylight target shooting. Glass doesn't have to be the clearest. Reticle doesn't need to be fancy. Plain old crosshairs will do.
Just needs to be cheap and hold a zero with recoil from a .22lr.
For a .22 with pretty well managed recoil (i can barely feel it) would any Wal Mart $30 junk scope be okay? Or are they bot even worth the effort?
I don't buy optics. So I am on the upside of a learning curve here.

BSA Sweet .22 is a decent low priced scope, I have two of them. Put one on a Marlin 25N and was impressed with it for the price. I got another one for the 522.

Simmons 22mag 3 - 9 x 32 A/O! By far the best 22 scope for the money and its under $50. I've had the Tasco & the BSA Sweet 22. The Simmons outperformed both by a very wide margin in every way. Also buying a scope without A/O for a 22 rifle is a total waste of money.
